Waffles With Strawberry Coulis

Ingredients

For the waffles:

100 g of melted butter
1 teaspoon of dry yeast
½ tablespoon of salt
300 g of flour
400 ml of cold milk
50 g of sugar 2 eggs

For the coulis:

200 g of strawberries 1
00 g of sugar

Preparation

Traditional preparation:

Whisk the eggs and sugar until you obtain a frothy mixture.

Add the other ingredients and mix until smooth.

Empty the mixture into the moulds.

Preheat the oven to 200º.Put the moulds on its tray and bake for 8-10 minutes at 180º.Remove from the oven and empty the moulds, turning them over so that they are face up and bake for 5-8 minutes more until they have browned.

For the strawberry coulis, whisk the strawberries with the sugar until they are completely pureed.

Pass the mixture through a sieve so that you are left with a smooth sauce with no seeds.

Set aside.

When baked, serve together with the strawberry coulis. If you want you can warm up the coulis and serve everything hot.

Instructions with Mixer:

Put the liquid ingredients in the glass and blend for 10-15 seconds at speed 6.

Add the other ingredients and blend everything for a few seconds at speed 5 until smooth.Pour the resulting mixture into the moulds.

To make the strawberry coulis, add the sugar and grind for 30 seconds at speed 5-10, add the strawberries and lemon juice and blend for 15 seconds at speed 5-10. Set aside.

The rest of the preparation is identical to the traditional method.
